The New English Bible (NEB) is a translation into modern English directly from the original Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic texts . The New Testament was published in 1961 and is the first known to be published into modern English. Its last edition was in 1970, when it became the revised edition of The new English Bible and later Revised English Bible and many others.
This is the Twenty-sixth edition published in Feb 1966 under direction of a complete assembly of churches of Great Britain, Scotland, and Wales.
